Unlike phenotypic identification, which can be affected by the presence or absence of non-housekeeping genes or by variability in expres<sup data-fn=\"5b7e50fe-ad98-46e0-86aa-b07d3db2750a\" class=\"fn\"><a href=\"#5b7e50fe-ad98-46e0-86aa-b07d3db2750a\" id=\"5b7e50fe-ad98-46e0-86aa-b07d3db2750a-link\">1<\/a><\/sup>sion of characters, 16S rDNA sequencing which we use in our laboratory provides accurate identification of isolates with atypical phenotypic characteristics.
